FREE COMMUNITY WORKSHOP: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2019 • 1:00-3:00PM
CLOSING RECEPTION: THIRD THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2019 6:00-8:00PM
Photographer Matthew Blum will highlight buildings in Lehigh County that are on the National Register of Historic Places such as the Burnside Plantation, Haines Mill, and Americus Hotel. Each photograph will be printed using various historical photo printing techniques, such as cyanotype, tintype, gum bichromate, albumen, and palladium.
Inspired by Matthew’s exhibition, our Photography class, with instructor Heidi Reuter, will be having a student show in our Rodale Family Gallery, titled, Views of the Present: City of Allentown. These students have photographed and printed local photos of Allentown, using the silver gelatin process in our darkroom.
Join us Third Thursday for our closing reception! This exhibition and reception is free and open to the public. Light fare, wine and other beverages will be served. All ages are welcome!
